About Us
Mothers of the Woodlands is a social support network for mothers of all ages, with children of all ages, whether they work or stay-at-home. We currently have more than 100 members. The group was started in 1997 by three new stay-at-home moms in The Woodlands who were looking for a way to feel more intellectually challenged. Over the years, the organization has evolved from moms who met for evening discussion groups, to playgroups, to a full-fledged organization with a wide range of activities and programs to support mothers.
Mothers of the Woodlands is not affiliated with any religious group and is open to moms who choose to work and moms who choose to stay-at-home. The organization believes that moms make their choices based on what they believe is best for their families.
Mothers of the Woodlands is run by a Leadership Team comprised of volunteers who are dedicated to growing and improving the organization.
